For 15 years, Symphony Senior Living has been fostering vibrant communities, so their decision to support a minor soccer team only made sense as it aligned with their mission and values.

With Kidspired as their connection to the West Ottawa Soccer Club, Symphony eagerly sponsored both the boys and girls team in the U8 divisions at West Ottawa Soccer Club. They not only wanted a further connection to the community within Kanata, but also had a passion and desire to support the minor sport space.

One of the many attributes that sets Symphony apart is a mandate of living life to the fullest, which they embrace with the variety of activities they offer, along with the myriad of events and outings that they organize.

So the idea of having their residents attend a soccer game of their sponsored team only made sense. Planned in advance with the assistance of the club, a scheduled visit to watch a game was orchestrated.

The day of the game was very hot, so the residents stayed safe in their climate controlled bus, and watched the girls play from the window.

After the game, the girls’ U8 team was rewarded with some frozen treats courtesy of Symphony.  The girls were elated and thanked Symphony for attending and supporting their team.

A parent of a player commented, “This is really a special moment, for both the players and the residents. Something I’m sure both will cherish and remember. “

The boys' U8 team played earlier in the season and were also rewarded with snacks, and expressed their gratitude to Symphony Senior Living.

Strong communities are only built with conscious work and effort. Symphony realizes that their decision to support local minor sports was not only to help the children involved, but it also aligns with their values and is the foundation of what makes their senior living facility exceptional.

“I founded Symphony on the belief of being present for others. To be present is to truly be with another person; whether physically, emotionally or both. It means to be fully there for another and less focused on ourselves. Often we can be present by just being there, listening, caring, seeking to understand perhaps sharing a smile, a touch or lending an empathetic ear. This is what defines Symphony.” Founder - Lisa Brush

Symphony Senior Living in Kanata offers a welcoming symphony of senior living options. They connect with their residents on a personal level, and this dedication was witnessed, it was truly a community focused moment that was appreciated by everyone who attended.
