Sports have a unique way of bringing people together. They create opportunities for teamwork, friendship, confidence and community, and this year, 407 ETR, with support from Kidspired Media, helped make those opportunities possible for athletes and teams across the community.

Throughout the year, 407 ETR sponsored many teams and initiatives, showing a continued commitment to supporting young athletes and making sports accessible to more people.

Supporting Teams Across the Community

Team sports are about much more than what happens on the field. They give young athletes a place to build confidence, develop new skills and create lasting friendships.

Through its sponsorships this year, 407 ETR helped support numerous teams and programs, giving athletes the opportunity to participate, compete and enjoy the game they love.

With Kidspired Media helping share and highlight these community initiatives, the sponsorships also helped bring attention to the people and organizations working to make a difference through sport.

Supporting Inclusive Soccer

One of the most meaningful parts of 407 ETR’s community involvement this year was its support for Soccability, a blind soccer program.

Blind soccer creates an opportunity for athletes who are visually impaired or blind to experience the excitement, teamwork and competition of the beautiful game. Supporting programs like this helps demonstrate that soccer truly can be a sport for everyone.

The partnership with Soccability is an example of how community sponsorship can go beyond traditional team sports and help create opportunities for athletes with different abilities.

All Abilities at Brams United

407 ETR also supported All Abilities programming at Brams United, helping provide opportunities for athletes of different abilities to participate in soccer.

Programs like these are important because they focus on inclusion, participation and creating an environment where athletes can enjoy the sport in a way that works for them.

When organizations invest in All Abilities programs, they are helping build stronger and more welcoming sporting communities.

Pickering FC's All Abilities Event

Another highlight came from Pickering FC, which held an All Abilities event in August.

The event provided an opportunity for athletes of different abilities to come together, participate in soccer and celebrate what makes community sport so special.

With 407 ETR as a sponsor, they provided each athlete with a gift, which was another example of how support from community-minded organizations can help create inclusive sporting experiences.

Events like this aren't simply about soccer. They are about creating a sense of belonging, giving athletes the opportunity to participate and showing families that there is a place for everyone in the sporting community.

More Than a Sponsorship

The work 407 ETR supported this year demonstrates that sponsorship can be about more than putting a logo on a jersey.

It can mean helping a team get on the field. It can mean supporting an athlete who otherwise might not have the same opportunity. It can mean helping an organization host an inclusive event. And it can mean giving communities a chance to come together.

Through its sponsorships, including support for Sociability, Brams United and Pickering FC, 407 ETR helped shine a light on the importance of making sports accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Celebrating Inclusion Through Sport

This year's sponsorships are a reminder that the best part of sport isn't always the final score.

It's the child putting on their jersey for the first time.

It's the teammate cheering from the sidelines.

It's the athlete discovering a new ability.

It's the family watching their child take part.

And it's a community coming together to make sure everyone has a chance to play.

407 ETR's support of teams and inclusive programs this year helped contribute to those moments, and that's something worth celebrating.

Because when everyone has a chance to play, everyone has a chance to belong.
